In the summer of 2022, we spent a week off the coast of Ecuador exploring the Galápagos Islands. It was a week full of National Geographic-type scenes, unique landscapes, diverse wildlife, and underwater adventures.
A warm August weekend hiking Forcella Sassolungo in the Italian Dolomites. Marc and I hiked the famous pass in the Italian Dolomites for his birthday.
Julia and I head to the mountains for a weekend wild camp. Regular checks on the weather app showed clear skies, but a series of storms earlier that week had us on guard. Julia picked a route with a Plan B and Plan C lined up, just in case. Luckily that she did!
I've been dreaming of wild camping all summer. Finally, I brushed off my tent, tested my gear and set off to Valais to find my camping spot to enjoy the views of the striking Furka Pass, Switzerland.

I had my first snowshoeing experience during the Christmas break on Klausenpass, Switzerland. We gathered all our siblings, and we trekked in the snow from Urnerboden to Klausenpass. We enjoyed a cup of coffee at 1,948 m above sea level before descending back down into the snowy valley.
Walking in a winter wonderland. December introduced a flurry of snow in Switzerland, and I took to the hills to enjoy a scenic walk in the snowfall.

I finally completed the Via Alpina in Switzerland! After 18 days on the trail, I concluded my final stage at Kandersteg, climbing Hohtürli pass and stopping for a swim in the beautiful mountain lake, Oescheninsee.
Spending a week immersed in the mountains and dining on local food offers such a lovely peek into life in Switzerland.
And so begins our seven-day trek along Switzerland's Via Alpina trail between Engelberg and Griesalp.
The fourth stage of the Via Alpina hike is a long stretch from Altdorf to Engelberg. My path takes me across Surenenpass from canton Uri to canton Obwalden.
The third stage of the Via Alpina hike is a long leg from Elm to Linthal. My path takes me across Richetlipass and through Glarus's geologically rich area for scenic views.
A steep hike through Braunwald, dinner by a glacier, and a scenic ascent up one of Switzerland's most striking mountain passes: Klausenpass.
